Spring is officially here and our New Life Celebration is almost here. Who are you going to invite to join you? It is happening Saturday, March 31, 9:30AM – 1:30PM. We’ll kick off Easter weekend with this FREE annual family event, which includes an Easter egg hunt with almost 25,000 eggs, egg dyeing, crafts, a petting zoo, inflatables, train rides, an illusionist, and much more. Food and gifts will be available to purchase. This event is open to the community, so please help us spread the word. And if you want to help, you can see volunteer opportunities here.
And dads, you don’t want to miss our Father & Daughter Dance! The theme this year is “Shine Like the Stars.” It will include dinner, dessert, a gift for the daughters and a special photo of the evening! This is such a popular event that we’ll hold two dances to accommodate all of our fathers and daughters – choose the night that is best for you! Our daughters are precious gifts from God and this night will celebrate that fact by allowing their fathers a time of demonstrating to these young ladies how they should be treated, honored and respected as they mature. If a father is not present in the daughter’s life, mothers may choose to invite another important adult male role model in the daughter’s life to take her to the dance.
Register for the April 6 dance (Deadline: April 1)
Register for the April 13 dance (Deadline: April 8)
The cost is just $17; each dance is 6-8PM.
Our Parent and Child Dedications are designed for parents to take time to specifically dedicate their child to God. We offer these ceremonies twice a year. Prior to the Dedication Celebration, parents are required to attend a one-time class on Sunday morning, April 8, during the 11AM service in room TH5. This class will focus on what a dedication is, as well as provide you with some excellent tools and resources for leading your child. The next dedication ceremony will be Sunday, April 22, 4-5PM starting in the Auditorium, with a reception to follow in Coop Court. We encourage you to invite all your family and friends to join you at the Dedication Celebration. Register here.
The Jewish community is asking for our help in serving at the Israel Festival – A Living Bridge to Israel on Sunday, April 22, from 1-6PM. It will be held at the Jewish Community Center (River and Dodge). This year they are marking the 70th anniversary of Israel’s independence with a huge celebration and are expecting some 8,000 people to attend. There will be non-stop entertainment, food, games, shopping, a parade and more.
This is a great way to love our neighbors. Would you consider volunteering? Call or email Oshrat Barel (firstname.lastname@example.org or 520-647-8445) to volunteer for set up, serving at the event and breakdown shifts. Contact Oshrat to find out more details of what, when and where.
I’ve run out of space, so check out pantano.church/events for more info about camps, additional KidZone events, women’s retreats and more coming up. There’s something for just about everyone!
