It’s here! Our Christmas Eve services are just around the corner! Our team has been planning this since summer! You don’t want to miss it. This is also a terrific opportunity to invite others to join you.
And we’ll have a surprise. After my short message, you’ll get to hear an original Pantano Christmas song written and created by our team. I think it might become a Pantano Christmas classic!
So, just as a reminder, on Christmas Eve, Sunday, Dec 24, we’ll have four identical services at 1, 3, 5, and 7pm. We’ll have children’s programming for all four services for children newborn through age 6. If you can attend the 1pm or 7pm service, that will help free up some space at our usually full 3pm and 5pm services. Here’s a few more things you need to know about Christmas Eve…
Communion and Offering
Christmas Eve is on Sunday. While we are not having our usual Sunday services, we’ll provide Communion in the Towne Hall Student Center after each service.
Also, we are not announcing or highlighting our regular giving of our tithes and offerings at our Christmas Eve services. This is due to the significant amount of guests and we want to focus on our special Christmas Eve offering (see below). So please give online or you can give your regular offering and tithes using the usual Sunday envelope. Please understand that any unmarked gifts placed into the offering during services will go to the Christmas Eve offering.
It is possible, with our significant growth this year, that we may run out of room in the Auditorium and both courts. So we have created an overflow room in the Towne Hall Student Center with a live feed. Further, our team will have golf carts to help people who have to park at the edges of our lot and might have trouble walking the distance.
Live Stream Online
Several folks have told me that they will be out of town visiting family but don’t want to miss our Christmas Eve service. No problem! We’ll live stream each of our four services. You can watch it here.
Special Christmas Offering
Every year we take a Christmas Eve offering where 100% goes outside our church. The first $25,000 of the offering will help fund our fifth Feed My Starving Children pack (January, 23-27, 2018). We plan to pack 400,000 mobile packs that provide a nutritious meal to children in need all over the world. You can learn more and sign up online to help pack. The balance of the offering will go to empower our global partners in India and West Africa to provide transportation (bikes and motorcycles) and assist them in starting or expanding businesses. Our ministry partners travel to remote villages to teach them how to improve their communities while planting churches. These partners are all bi-vocational workers and they depend on a job to fund their own ministries. We’ll provide vital help to allow them to reach the hundreds of villages they serve. We’ll have special Christmas Eve envelopes in the seats or you can give online as well (choose Christmas Eve offering).
Merry Christmas to you and your family. May the profound truth and reality that God came to us and is with us bring deep and lasting joy to you throughout the year!
