As a retired celebrity from another country, I know the struggles of being a Christian in the field of arts, media and entertainment. I quit my showbiz career because I was hungry for God’s Word and I have no regrets about it. Christians in AMEN (Arts, Media, Entertainment, Neighborhood) need support and teaching-so I decided to start a Life Group!

Our Group meets online on the first Thursday of each month and is open to men and women in the field of arts, media, entertainment & from the neighborhood of those who desire to unashamedly share their faith-whether from a platform or through daily encounters with family, friends and strangers.
We pray together, share openly about personal and spiritual life, brainstorm and receive teaching & encouragement in every meeting.

Our community gathers together once a week to break bread, fellowship and study together what it looks like to be a Son. The study is done as the Holy Spirit leads, both individually throughout the week and corporately through our gathering. Together we learn how to listen to the Holy Spirit’s leading in such a way that deepens our walk with Him.
We will have a meal together, take communion and study/share how the Lord spoke to each of us in our study throughout the week.

We meet each Wednesday evening from 6pm-8pm in the 85756 zip code.

  • A. “No More Perfect Moms – Learn to Love Your Real Life, Julie Wesley facilitator
Somewhere along the line we have set a standard of excellence for ourselves to be the perfect woman with the perfect kids, perfect marriage, perfect home and perfect body. No More Perfect Moms will help us change our unrealistic expectations to realistic hopes, give grace to ourselves and others, and find freedom to embrace our real, but imperfect lives.
Material: No More Perfect Moms by Jill Savage (available at Amazon)
  • B. “How Do We Cope In This World Today” – Sue Monge
Did you know we have a lot in common with the city of Ephesus? Ephesus was a port city that took pride in having the Temple of Diana, Asia Minor’s premier deity, which was visited every year by thousands of pilgrims.
But Ephesus, like the rest of the first-century world and ours today, is filled with people who are uncertain about their futures and fearful that their fates are in the hands of “powers” which they had no control over.
Woven in this book are practical ways to live in the world today! Hope to see you for this study!
You only need your Bible and something to take notes on!

  • C. “God of Freedom: Exodus (18-40)” – Jen Wilkin – Cynthi Knight & Leanne Ragel
In this 10-session study of Exodus 19-40, journey through the story of how God shepherds His newly-liberated children into an understanding of what their freedom means: lives consecrated for service to God and to one another. Revisit familiar scenes of the giving of the Ten Commandments, the idolatrous worship of a golden calf, and of the intricate details of the tabernacle. And with fresh perspective, ask what these stories teach God’s children today about how to live as those set free.

I will be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. I put on the full armor of God, so that I can take my stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. I put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, I am ready and able to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, to stand. Still, I will stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, I take up the shield of faith, with which I can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. I take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
We meet each Saturday morning from 7am-9am in the 85710 zip code.

We are a recreational and spiritual hiking Group that enjoys fellowship in God’s creation.
All are welcome, but we are mostly a women’s Group.

All of our hikes start around sunrise to take advantage of cooler mornings and earlier starts. We have three levels of hiking. On the 1st Saturday of every month we’ll be featuring our advanced hike. It will have elevation, longer trails (6-11 miles) and last several hours-often past lunchtime. This is not the hike to choose if you are just starting out or are out of shape. The 2nd & 3rd Saturday of every month will be our intermediate hikes. These hikes will not have as much elevation and will vary from 3-7miles and take 2-6 hours-still, consider your skill level before joining. The Tucson walkabout occurs on the 4th Saturday of each month and we’ll walk about 2 miles-often on paved or packed dirt paths. These are good treks for beginners.
Contact the Group Leader for the location of the next hike!
