Are you someone others confide in or ask for guidance? Do you have a heart for listening to people and helping others in time of need? If so, then consider becoming a Peer Counselor.
Peer Counseling is short-termed, solution focused care in a safe and confidential environment, designed to help individuals or couples to move forward in their journey.
This 8 week training class prepares new and potential peer counselors to meet with individuals or couples who are dealing with hurts, both past and present, wounds, and obstacles that keep them from leading their lives well. Peer Counseling Training class is NOT a pre requisite.
Once the 8 week classes are completed all current and new counselors will continue to receive mandatory continuing education classes on a monthly basis.
There is no cost for the training. Class starts: January 4 @ 6:00pm - 7:30pm
