Please join Department of Child Safety (DCS) to help make the holidays brighter for children in foster care. Receiving personalized gifts helps these children feel loved and significant during a time of year that can be extremely difficult. It’s a FUN way to give back.
Who receives the gifts? ALL recipients are children or young adults in DCS care.
How does it work? Participants select a heart tag that includes the child’s name, age, gender, and wish list items. Gifts are then purchased and turned in by early December. DCS caseworkers pick up the gifts and deliver them directly to the children. (We can also set up online Giving Trees.)
How much do I spend? Do not feel obligated to purchase everything listed, but be as generous as you’d like. There is no minimum/maximum amount.
Do I wrap my gifts? Each gift should be unwrapped & placed in a gift bag with tissue.
When are gifts due? Gifts are due Friday, December 5. Drop off gifts after any Sunday service or at the main office during the week.
