Waiting (Christmas Eve)

by Josh Reich | series |

In Luke 2:27 we’re told that Simeon was guided by the Spirit into the temple to see Jesus. Simeon hoped but waited. Many are in that place of waiting, but waiting time is not wasted time. The Christmas story in the New Testament is the answer to waiting. The people of God lived for 400 years waiting on God, in God’s silence and God’s answer to their waiting was Jesus. Simeon is also an important part of this series because he is the least known of the Christmas story and a reminder of how God sees each of us, the ones that are well known and less known.
