Stronger Together

Mental Health Forum & Wellness Fair

A powerful day of hope, healing, and connection  created to break the stigma surrounding mental health and faith, and to remind you that it is absolutely okay to love Jesus and see a therapist. Through main stage speakers, breakout sessions, and a Wellness Fair featuring local counselors, ministries, and support groups, this event is designed to meet you where you are whether you’re personally struggling, supporting a loved one, or simply wanting to learn. We believe healing happens in community, and no one should walk through it alone.

The experience will also include a Wellness Fair featuring local organizations, counselors, ministries, support groups, and wellness resources available to help individuals and families long after the event is over. Our hope is that every guest leaves feeling seen, encouraged, equipped, and connected to meaningful next steps in their mental health journey.

Please note that childcare will not be available, and children under the age of 13 are unable to attend the event.

Life is hard; setting our anchor is vital for survival. Who or what is your anchor? How do you become an anchor for those around you? When your anchor is set, life’s storms won’t wreck you, challenges won’t defeat you, roadblocks won’t stop you.

Chris Roussin

Lead Pastor Lincoln Heights Christian Church

Chris Roussin

Pastor Chris and his wife Hannah moved out from Southern California to Phoenix back in September of 2010. They have 4 children; all girls! After Jesus, family, and friends…Pastor Chris is an avid Star Wars and Baseball fan. He graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a B.A. Degree in Christian Ministries in 1999. He then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies when he graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California in 2012. Pastor Chris has a passion for helping people connect to God and to those around them. He loves the Bible and he loves helping people understand how to apply it to their lives. He’s NOT big on “religion” though. In fact, if you haven’t heard it yet, you’re bound to hear it soon, because he loves to say often how religion sucks…the life out of you, but a relationship with God…infuses life. Pastor Chris is big on a relationship with God, and he’s here to help you with yours.

Main Stage

My hope with the stage session is to speak broadly about how deeply the voices and relationships in our lives…(especially father figures and influential people around us)can shape emotional health, self-worth, connection, and the way we move through life. I want it to feel emotionally accessible and relatable for both believers and non-believers alike, especially for those who may carry wounds connected to approval, absence, affirmation, rejection, or belonging.

She works with children, adolescents, and adults, bringing a relational, strengths-based, and trauma-informed lens to her work. At the heart of her philosophy is a simple truth: nothing is wrong with you—struggle is part of being human, and you don’t have to face it alone. She believes that having the courage to simply be ourselves can transform our greatest challenges into meaningful opportunities for self-understanding and connection.

Mariana Vasquez-Maloney

I’m a deeply-feeling person who found my way to counseling and never looked back. I believe most of us don’t get through life unscathed, and we all deserve a non-judgmental space to process, heal, and grow. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or parenthood, I approach every person with empathy and genuine care for how your unique experiences have shaped you. I also love working with teens, adolescents, and families building resilience together. I bring a Master’s in Counseling, 10+ years of experience, and training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and trauma-informed care, but mostly I just show up warm, real, and ready to sit with you in the hard stuff, push you gently when it matters, and find some humor along the way.

Self-care is something that is talked about in each session, and she believes in its importance, especially as it relates to the human experience and the world of mental health.

Breakout Session

The term self-care is everywhere, including all over social media, but is it really just bubble baths and pedicures? The answer is no. Can it be related to your emotions, school/work day, daily life, faith, etc? Yes it can be, and I’d love to talk about it with you!

Breakout Session

Our identity is often shaped by the voices, experiences, and relationships we grow up with — especially the presence, absence, or influence of a father figure. In this breakout session, we will explore how approval, rejection, expectations, and comparison can deeply impact the way we see ourselves and others. Together, we’ll have an honest and hopeful conversation about healing, belonging, self-worth, and learning to separate our true identity from the unhealthy labels and pressures we may carry through life.

Hannah Roussin has spent more than 20 years investing in the lives of children and families through education, counseling, and ministry. She served for over 10 years in the public school system, encouraging and supporting students while earning her master’s degree in school counseling to further help young people grow emotionally, academically, and spiritually. Alongside her professional work, Hannah has faithfully served in ministry with her husband for the past 25 years, walking with others through faith, life, and community. Together, they have raised four daughters, and her greatest passion is helping others feel seen, valued, encouraged, and reminded of God’s faithfulness in every season.

Breakout Session

Children often communicate their struggles through behaviors long before they have the words to explain what they are feeling. In this breakout session, we will explore how emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges can impact elementary-aged children both at school and at home. Together, we’ll discuss practical ways parents, caregivers, and educators can better understand, support, encourage, and connect with children who may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unseen. This session is designed to bring both insight and hope to those walking alongside children with unique emotional and educational needs.

Ralph Zarate

As a former Parade All-American high school athlete, Ralph Zarate appeared to have a bright football future ahead of him. But a series of poor choices led him down a path of addiction, loss, and life-altering consequences. Through the grace and redemption of Jesus Christ, Ralph found hope, healing, and a new purpose.  Now sober for more than nine years, Ralph is a devoted husband and father whose life is a testament to God’s transforming power. His journey is proof that no mistake is too great, no past is too broken, and no person is beyond the reach of God’s love.

Breakout Session

Do you feel trapped by shame, guilt, regret, and the weight of past decisions? Do you know through Christ, there is hope, healing, and the promise of a new beginning? This breakout session will explore the journey from addiction to recovery, focusing on God’s unconditional love, grace, and power to restore what has been broken.  Whether you are personally struggling, in recovery, or supporting someone you love, this session will offer encouragement, practical insight, and a reminder that your past does not define your future.
